Meheraly Merchant
Founder/CEO
Meher's work experience ranges from working as a validation chemist to working as a process engineer in the Pharmaceutical and Specialty Chemical industries. For six years, he worked as a chemist for Fortune 500 companies, and for another 6 years worked for Fortune 100 companies as a manufacturing/process engineer. This experience gave him the opportunity to work directly with Laboratory Information Management Services (LIMS) and also with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) in the manufacturing environment. He developed cleaning validation protocols for bulk pharmaceutical manufacturing. He also has experience in customizing and integrating the HMI using RSBatch and Intellution applications. Meher has also worked with MES. He has detailed knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and laboratory equipment including Rockwell Software and Allen-Bradley controllers. Meher enhances his computer programming and automation validation skills by attending workshops, conferences, and courses. He is a member of the American Instituite of Chemical Engineers and the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers. He holds a Master's degree in chemical engineering from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA.

Malik Merchant
Chief Software Developer
Malik is responsible for implementing and customizing HMI for our clients. Malik has more than 6 years of programming experience in various industries. His experience ranges from senior system analyst to system administrator. His specialities are in programming languages, such as, .NET, Visual Basic 6, C++, Java, JavaScript, HTML, VBScript. He has also worked extensively with databases (SQL Server, Oracle SQL Plus, PL/SQL and Access).

Malik holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from University of Houston. Prior to joining Six Sigma Technology, Malik worked for Clear Channel Entertainment as Sr. System Analyst where he lead several projects to completion including:

  • Design, development and support work on client-server and internet/intranet applications as per the needs of the company (life-cycle development process)
  • Implementation of solutions utilizing tools such as VB, ASP, HTML, VBScript, JavaScript, .NET, ASP and Crystal Reports
  • Created and modified stored procedures, triggers in SQL Server databases
  • Applying ADO, RDO, COM/DCOM/COM+, and ActiveX
  • Integration of all the newly designed application and data

Shanshahi Merchant
Environmental Project Consultant
Shanshahi is a professional certified EIT. She holds a master's degree in environmental engineering from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Shanshahi Merchant has extensive experience with EPA Regulation related to drinking water and waste water treatment plants. Her experience includes:

  • Coordinated Information Collection Rule (ICR) for major utility, from initial sampling plan (ISP) to review , submission and approval of ICR QC and WQ data validation for the compliance and research
  • Established, maintained, managed BLS ICR database as well as databases for EPA ICR WQ, and Quality Assurance
  • Established the Database for all the regulated and unregulated organic, inorganic, and microbial water quality (WQ) parameters for drinking water
  • Prepared quarterly disinfection by-product (DBP) reports and quarterly ICR data reports
  • Established Chlorine decay study program for the distribution system.
She also has detailed knowledge of industrial and municipal NPDES permits under Federal and State Environmental Law and Regulations acquired when working with the Delaware Department of Natural Resources as an Environmental Engineer. Additional achievements in that position:
  • Evaluated and analyzed Discharge Monitoring Reports and other monitoring data by using Mathematical & statistical approaches
  • Reviewed and inspected the sewage sand line, elevated sand mound, low pressure pipe and standard sanitary residential, community and large system
  • Communicated effectively with public and permittee on regulatory issues as required
  • Responded to comments on proposed NPDES permits
  • Conducted meetings to discuss permit requirements with the public and the industrial organizations and federal regulatory agencies regarding compliance and research
  • Attendeded 50-statewide EPA meeting to learn about pending NPDES related litigation. Attended EPA sponsored workshop to learn about total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) and 303-(d) list-related litigation and how to prevent future legal problems
